I have to do it this way cuz the page won't let me babble in the way I like....
So back at the campsite (now close to 5:00) with the realization that we needed ice, 1/2 and 1/2 and a few other vitals, I set off back into town with strict instructions not to dawdle or dally. With just one item that I couldn't get (fire started) we had a quick dinner of roast chicken veggies and corn. I decided to cook the carcass and make a stock for a noodle soup, but, but, but, the stove looked pathetically at me and screamed "feed me some gas!". despite my concern that we were running low on propane, I was assured we had a full tank (3 years and never re-filled), Tony was faced with going back into town to get refills on 2 tanks. The stock not being such a big deal, BUT no coffee in the morning? NOT?
It started raining once we were set up, but has not stopped. Lucy has rolled around in the puddles. Our mats are filthy and wet and I failed to stop the rain in the Rooster's absence. FAIL. We can only hope it stops by morning although rain is in the forecast for the near future.
So we are sitting outside for the moment with our feet in puddles. Lucy is having none of this and made her way into the couch where she is hunkered down until we put her in the shower. Tomorrow we hope to be at the Lewis and Clark State Campground which is on the western edge of ND and a few miles off US2.
