Rained all night and into morning. With about an hour of clear skies we mopped up our spot after breakfast and headed out. Lucy required spa treatment late last night so was confined to the Hen House except when we lifted her out to the grass. I think she knew what would happen if she rolled in the puddles again. She is always highly offended when bathed. The HH is a mess of dirt and muck t
hat will just have to be dealt with later.
At the pumping out station we chatted with a couple from "DL" (Duluth) who come hear each year for a week to fish. They told us that they had to go to the Civic Bldg on site because a tornado passed just beyond the camp. Yikes. No injuries or irreparable damage.
Just got to Rugby and the expectant rain has started again. Flood warnings await us in Williston. We will decide what to do when we get closer and can check the radar again. The scrnerychang is pronounced. Looks like the early wheat has been harvested. Green has changed to brown. Cows littler the small hills and it looks quite pastoral. Large cooperatives of silos and trains (long) that pass through them picking up their cargo or just passing through are seen intermittently.More trees than before bent north west from prevailing winds. A tractor moseying along the road and a rainbow row of migrant worker shacks. White, brown and black cows, some hunkered down together rather than grazing spread out.
