Anticipation.....

Cast of Characters:
The Rooster is Tony
The dog is Lucy
The Chick is me
The Hen House speaks for itself but is our 23' travel trailer

Day 1.  Glad we left early for the first leg.  Wind advisories abound.  Crossing the Bridge in these gusts does not appeal to me.  First stop is Seney National Wildlife Refuge which is right next to Hiawatha National Forest mid UP.  While it may seem silly to only come this far, we wanted to have time to see and explore.  Besides, she. You have to set up and pull down, one has to add time to decompose in the evening and not rush about in the morning.  Tomorrow the Porcupines.

Staying at a nice private campground.  Or at least we thought so.  Full hook up.  Then we realized AFTER all was set up that our tubing to the sewer isn't  long enough.  We have an extension, but can't figger out where it is.  Back in CVX perhaps?  Ugh.  Then our neighbors came back and started playing really loud country music which has since abated.

My IPad screen only allows me to see a portion of what is written, so I am writing blindly at present. New to this.

So...back at Seney, we stopped in at the Visitors Ce teve and got the scoop and brief "tour".  We forgot our gogulars (binocs), so opted to take the 7 mile drive around to see if we could see the eagles nest as well as the Osprey.  Not.  Comp, eating the drive, we returned to the HH and retrieved our gogulars and returned to do the small 1.5 mike hike with Lucy..  Here is what we saw: geese, saw as, beaver dome, lots of beaver bites in trees, deer tracks, various flora, diamonds on the water.  Leisurely, not so exciting, but we did see the Osprey nest on our return to the visitors center.  Took a pic to document the finding.  Also, no morels but large tumor looking shrooms.  Didn't pick any for dinner too tonight. I felt we were close to hurricane weather, but the Rooster reminded me that we also need a cold front.  Regardless, I was pretty sure a huge tree would fall in us, AND, while we were approaching the finish line, we did hear a serious "crack" which might have been just a branch, but I doubt it..

My Fit bit is running 30" ahead of time so we decided to use that as our guide and have a cocktail.

Fini 7/19

We were on the road early, stopped of at Mickey Ds for coffee and crap before heading home.  I do like Wisconsin.  It is a wonderfully beaut...
